Acceptable Use Policy

What you may and may not send. This protects your WhatsApp number as much as it protects us — Meta bans numbers, not platforms.

1. Why this exists

WhatsApp is a channel people let businesses into reluctantly, and Meta polices it hard. A number that sends unwanted messages gets its quality rating cut, then its messaging tier frozen, then in the end it gets banned — and that number is yours, not ours.

So this policy is not boilerplate. It is the shortest description of how to keep a WhatsApp number alive.

2. Consent and opt-in

You may only message people who have opted in to hear from you on WhatsApp, from the number you are messaging them from. Consent must be:

  • Given knowingly — the person understood they were agreeing to WhatsApp messages from your business, by name.
  • Recorded — you can show when, where and how it was given. Magnusly keeps an append-only consent record for exactly this reason.
  • Specific — consent for order updates is not consent for promotional offers.

These are not consent:

  • A purchased, scraped or rented list.
  • Numbers collected for a different purpose — a delivery address, a warranty card, a visitor register.
  • A number that merely appeared on a public directory or website.
  • Consent given to a different business, including one you acquired, unless the notice covered transfer.
  • Someone messaging you once. That opens a 24-hour service window; it does not authorise marketing later.

3. Honouring opt-outs

When someone asks to stop, stop — immediately, and across every list. Magnusly detects common opt-out replies and blocks further sends automatically, but you must also:

  • Honour opt-outs made by any other route — a phone call, an email, in person.
  • Never re-import a contact to clear their opt-out. Doing so deliberately is a serious breach of this policy.
  • Include a plain way to stop in your marketing templates.

4. Prohibited content

You may not use Magnusly to send anything that:

  • Is unlawful, or promotes unlawful activity.
  • Is deceptive — phishing, impersonation of another business or person, fake offers, fake urgency, misleading claims about price, results or approval.
  • Harasses, threatens, defames, or targets someone on the basis of religion, caste, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, disability or any protected characteristic.
  • Is sexually explicit, or exploits or endangers a child in any way.
  • Promotes violence, terrorism, self-harm, or the sale of weapons.
  • Infringes copyright, trademarks or other rights.
  • Contains malware, or links to it.
  • Requests sensitive information — passwords, full card numbers, OTPs, Aadhaar or other government identifiers — over chat.
  • Is bulk unsolicited messaging, by any name.

5. Restricted industries

Meta prohibits or restricts messaging for certain goods and services, and its rules apply to your number regardless of what we allow. You may not use Magnusly to promote:

  • Illegal or recreational drugs, and unapproved supplements or medicines
  • Tobacco, vaping products and related paraphernalia
  • Alcohol, except where lawful and age-gated in the recipient’s jurisdiction
  • Weapons, ammunition and explosives
  • Gambling, betting and real-money gaming, except where lawful and licensed
  • Adult content and services
  • Cryptocurrency trading, token sales and related speculative offers
  • Multi-level marketing, pyramid or chain schemes, and “get rich quick” offers
  • Payday lending, debt relief and unlicensed financial services
  • Counterfeit goods, and products making unverified medical claims

If you are unsure whether your sector qualifies, ask us before you send. We would rather answer the question than suspend the account.

6. Technical misuse

You may not:

  • Attempt to bypass the platform’s rate limits, pacing gates, tier caps or consent checks.
  • Probe, scan or test the security of the service, or access another workspace’s data.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile or copy the software, or resell access without our written agreement.
  • Use automated means to overload the service, or run load tests without telling us first.
  • Share one login among several people instead of buying seats.
  • Use the service to build a competing product.

7. Meta’s rules apply too

Everything you send also has to satisfy Meta’s own terms, which are between you and Meta:

  • WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy
  • WhatsApp Business Terms of Service
  • WhatsApp Commerce Policy

Where Meta’s rules are stricter than ours, Meta’s rules win. They are the ones who can ban your number.

8. How we enforce this

We do not read your messages routinely, and we do not monitor conversations. We act on complaints, on abuse reports from Meta, and on automated signals such as a sharp collapse in quality rating or an unusual block rate.

What we seeWhat we do
A first, apparently accidental breachWe contact you and ask you to fix it
Continued breach after noticeCampaign sending suspended while we discuss it
Serious breach — purchased lists, ignoring opt-outs, prohibited contentImmediate suspension, and termination without refund
Illegal content, or risk to a personImmediate termination and, where the law requires, a report to the authorities

Where circumstances allow, we warn before we suspend. Where someone is at risk, or Meta requires it, we may act first and explain afterwards.

9. Reporting abuse

If you received an unwanted WhatsApp message from a business using Magnusly, tell us at support@adormax.com. Include the sending number and, if you can, a screenshot.

The business that messaged you is the controller of your data and we will refer your request to them — but we also investigate the sender against this policy, and we act on what we find. We acknowledge reports within 24 hours.
